People coming from Anglo countries are used to the concept of litigation being held in front of juries. But is it a good idea to have your divorce litigation heard in front of a jury? Can you even have divorce litigation heard in front of a jury? Is there even a jury system here in Israel?
Personally, I prefer that all family law litigation be done behind closed doors – it just isn’t anybody’s business besides the parties involved in the litigation in my opinion. However, I am approached by people time and again asking about having a jury hear their divorce litigation issues. SO – can they or can’t they?
