Does the mother’s remarriage result in lower child support payments?

April 4, 2017 16:16 Comments Off on Does the mother’s remarriage result in lower child support payments? admin

You wouldn’t believe how many ex-husbands come to me thinking that a great day in their lives is coming – their ex-wife has announced that she is going to get remarried! SO many times, they are happy because they feel that now their ex-wife will be more preoccupied with their new spouses and they will be (in their terminology and view – not mine) “left alone” a lot more. In my opinion, there is nothing wrong in feeling this way.

On the other hand, some of these ex-husbands come into my office believing that, and asking what they have to do so that, their child support payments are lowered because their ex-wife is getting remarried. Unfortunately for them (and perhaps fortunately for their kids) – it doesn’t exactly work like that. Check out my latest video and see how it does work.
