“Hague cases” are cases for the return of children, in our case from Israel, to their home country. These cases are brought in the Israeli Family courts pursuant to the Hague Convention on Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction 1980. The person bringing the case is usually the parent living outside of Israel, who, in many cases, does not speak Hebrew. These cases are fact intensive and always require testimony and active involvement in the litigation by both parties. If they don’t speak Hebrew, how are they able to bring their case?
