We’re all aware that there are two parallel court systems in Israel for family law related litigation. You may also know already that each court has the sole jurisdiction over certain issues (that means that only one court or the other can hear certain divorce related suits), and that each court has dual jurisdiction over other issues (i.e. that either court can hear those divorce related suits). When litigation occurs in the family courts, how does it work? What are the timelines and what has to happen?
